A High Pressure Ridge over the Pacific Ocean will slowly move over the Pacific Northwest increasing temperatures to the uncomfortable level this week. Be prepared for the valleys to reach the mid 90s by mid-week and the Umpqua Basin could reach triple digits. The coast temperatures will increase also rising into the 70s. By the end of the week a cold front will bring us back to normal temperatures.

It’s Monday and that means it’s time for another weather quiz. The first person to answer the question correctly will win one week of free personalized weather forecasts. Please place your answer as a comment on this blog. Here’s the question: Which President of the United States died as an indirect result of being too stubborn to wear a coat and hat to his own inauguration when the weather was cold and blustery? Good luck. You have the rest of  the week to come up with the answer.
