An upper air trough of low pressure (“U” shape on the orange line) will sit offshore continuing the onshore airflow. A weak frontal system will brush by us late Wednesday into Thursday, again with little consequence. There will be a chance of warmer temperatures returning by next weekend as high pressure takes over by the weekend.

An upper air trough of low pressure (“U” shape on the orange line) will sit offshore with high pressure (“arch” shape on orange line) strengthening over us. A weak frontal system fell apart as it moved through Oregon and is increasing onshore airflow enough to bring some clouds and cool us down a bit for the weekend. I’ll have a new weekly weather quiz question for you starting next Monday. Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Another weak cold front will move in late Sunday night and Monday keeping a lid on our high temperatures..

An upper air trough of low pressure (“U” shape on the brown line) will sit offshore for a short time. That, when added to a weak frontal system (position shown still offshore) that will brush by Oregon today, will increase onshore airflow enough to bring some clouds and cool us down a bit for the weekend. High pressure (“arch” shape on brown line on first graphic) will take over after that and will give us great weather into next week.
