An upper level low (Shaded “U” shape) will be moving away from us as a high pressure ridge (Shaded “Arch” shape) will move toward the coast and start to dry us out again. Willamette Pass reports they will be open this weekend February 1st and 2nd with limited operations due to the low amount of snow. Hoodoo and Mt. Ashland remain closed until significant snow falls again.

high pressure ridge still controls our weather, but the upper airflow is now swinging more from the coast adding moisture to the air and producing some much needed rain.  A frontal system warm front first (red line) moved in next increasing temperatures. The cold front (blue line) has pushed well through the Pacific Northwest and actually cleared some of the clouds away for a while.
