Tim Chuey Weather

A strong High Pressure Ridge over the Pacific will heat us up for the next couple of days bringing back the “Dog Days of Summer”  for a short time. A trough of low pressure ( shaded area resembling the letter “U” behind the ridge (shaded area resembling an upside down “U”) will follow it returning clouds, cooler temperatures, and possible showers by the middle of next week. Look for today’s high to be in the low 90s and about 90 on Saturday. On Sunday the first of a couple of cold fronts will move in from the coast cooling the temperatures back to the low 80s and by Monday the 70s. The chance of rain may hold off until Wednesday.

Don’t forget this week’s weather quiz. Today is your last chance to get it right. Here’s the question: How have athletic shoes been used in charting ocean currents? Please place your answer as a response. The first person to correctly answer the question will win on one week of free weather forecasts. You can win only one time per year. Good luck.
