Here is my weekly weather quiz question for the last time. “What is a “Rocketsonde?” Here is the correct answer. A Rocketsonde is type of radiosonde that is shot into the atmosphere by a rocket, allowing it to collect data during its parachute descent from a higher position in the atmosphere than a balloon could reach. Radiosondes are launched into the sky by helium weather balloons.
