A Freeze Warning is in effect until 8 AM today for the Central and Southern Willamette Valley. That means lows in the upper 20s which should break the old records by a degree or two. Eugene should see a low of 25. Today, Columbus Day, will be a mix of clouds and sun and a high of 60. An Upper level low pressure trough (shaded area) will change the airflow over us so that it will come from the southwest. That means more moisture and the real Fall weather returns. There will be a 40% chance of rain late at night tonight. Tuesday will be cloudy with an 80% chance of rain high again near 60. Rain will be likely Wednesday (60% chance) with a high of 57. The chance of rain will continue through Friday night, but on Saturday it will be likely once again.

It’s Monday and means it’s time for my weekly weather quiz. Here goes. What is the driest continent? Please place your answer in the comments section. The first person to post the correct answer will win one week of free weather forecasts to suit your needs. Good luck.
