Congratulations again to Rocky Davis for his answer of the telegraph and also explaining that the telegraph was used to warn people down the line of approaching bad weather. Rocky wins one week of free forecasts tailored to his needs. Another quiz will begin next Monday.

A frontal system is bringing rain back to the Pacific Northwest today with a break on Saturday then another frontal system will push through on Sunday that will also drop our temperatures to some of the coolest of this season.

Look for a chance of AM rain today and then it  will be likely the rest of the day, high 60. There will be a slight chance of evening showers then late night and early morning fog Saturday. Saturday will be dry with a mix of clouds and sun high 63. The weather in Washington will be similar for the Ducks game at 12:30 PM warming to the upper 50s by the end of the game. No problem weatherwise for the Beavers in Southern California. After a chance of AM showers, rain will be likely Sunday and Sunday night with a high near 60. Showers will be likely Monday and just a touch cooler. Tuesday will see a 40% chance of showers and a high in the mid to upper 50s and lows dropping to 40 and below. Wednesday and Thursday there will still be a chance of on-again off-again showers with some sun, highs in the mid 50s and lows in the mid to upper 30s.
