An upper air ridge of high pressure (Shaded “Arch” shape with blue arrows) is tilting and moving away from us and that is allowing an upper level low (shaded “U” shape with blue arrows) behind it to take over. A frontal system (still way off shore) is headed our way too and that means  more rain. Note: Mt. Ashland is open Thursdays through Mondays (closed Thursday, but re-opened Friday). Willamette Pass has officially announced that this ski season is over for them. Hoodoo is still closed for now and probably will also call the season over soon. They say they will be opening again when enough snow falls but there is no snow in the forecasts for the near future. Check their websites for conditions and any updates.

An upper air ridge of high pressure (Shaded “Arch” shape with blue arrows) is moving away from us and that will allow an upper level low (shaded “U” shape with blue arrows) behind it to take over. A frontal system produced the chance of showers ahead of it and will move east of us tonight and then the rain chance leaves until the weekend. High pressure strengthens for the end of the week returning the dry weather, but more rain is in the offing for your weekend.  Note: Mt. Ashland is open Thursdays through Mondays. Willamette Pass has officially announced that this ski season is over for them. Hoodoo is still closed for now and probably will also call the season over soon. They say they will be opening again when enough snow falls. Check their websites for conditions and any updates.

An upper air ridge of high pressure (Shaded “Arch” shape with blue arrows) is set up in such a way that it kept any major storm systems away from us, for a while. The chance of rain will return between Tuesday night and Wednesday as a cold front approaches the coast Wednesday. Note: Mt. Ashland is open Thursdays through Mondays. Willamette Pass and Hoodoo are all still closed for now. They say they will be opening again when enough snow falls. Check their websites for conditions and specific schedules.
