An upper level high pressure ridge is weakening and moving away from us. A frontal system brings a slight chance of light rain or drizzle for your early Wednesday morning, then clouds and sun. Another frontal system may usher in the chance of rain Saturday night into early next week. High pressure should take over again by the middle of next week. Note: Willamette Pass, Hoodoo, and Mt. Ashland are all still closed for now. They say they will be opening again when enough snow falls. Check their websites for conditions and specific schedules.

An upper level high pressure ridge is still strengthening over us and will keep storms away for a couple more days. Here is my weekly weather quiz question for the last time. What is a “ short-fuse warning?”  Here is the correct answer. A Short-Fuse Warning is a warning issued by the NWS for a local weather hazard of relatively short duration. Short-fuse warnings include tornado warnings, severe thunderstorm warnings, and flash flood warnings. Tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings typically are issued for periods of an hour or less, flash flood warnings typically for three hours or less. I’ll have a new weekly weather quiz question for you starting Monday. Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

An upper level high pressure ridge is still strengthening over us and will keep storms away for a couple more days. A frontal system (way off to the northwest) will bring a slight chance of showers to us by late Tuesday afternoon. Note: Willamette Pass, Hoodoo, and Mt. Ashland are all closed for now. They say they will be opening again when enough snow falls. Check their websites for conditions and specific schedules.

An upper level high pressure ridge is moving away from us now and we’ll see a bit more moisture flowing into Oregon.  A frontal system has brought back the chance of showers, slight though it might be.  Note: Willamette Pass, Hoodoo, and Mt. Ashland are all closed for now. They say they will be opening again when enough snow falls. Check their websites for conditions and specific schedules.
