An upper level low pressure trough (the “U” shaped dip in the yellow jet stream line) is moving eastward over the Pacific Northwest. High pressure aloft (the “arch” shaped yellow line) will build in keeping much needed rain away from us. A cold front will slide down from the Northwest toward next weekend.
