An upper level low  (Shaded “U” shape) is helping to generate more wet weather, but behind it the High pressure ridge (Shaded “Arch” shape on previous graphic) will keep our temperatures cool. A frontal system moved through Oregon Wednesday bringing rain with it and colder air behind it. It looks like another frontal system will move in from the northwest Sunday with dry weather behind it.

An upper level low  (Shaded “U” shape) is helping to generate more wet weather, but behind it the High pressure ridge (Shaded “Arch” shape on previous graphic) will keep our temperatures cool. A frontal system moved through Oregon today bringing rain with it and colder air behind it. It looks like another frontal system will move in from the northwest Sunday with dry weather behind it.

Well, it happened again. The next frontal system slowed down and we ended up with clouds and sunshine and no serious showers Tuesday. The front showed up and that explains today’s rain. Christmas Day itself should have a 50/50 chance of showers.
