An upper level high pressure ridge (“Arch” shape with blue arrows offshore) took over to keep us warmer than normal. Now an upper level low (Shaded “U” shape with blue arrows of the same graphic) will swing in through California returning the clouds and the chance of showers and at the same time cooling us down. Just in case you didn’t know today June 1st begins the Atlantic/Caribbean tropical cyclone season.
