The jet stream is sending us more moisture giving us the potential of very heavy rainfall amounts in the Valley and falling snow levels in the mountains. This could good news for the anticipated ski season. Here is a  frontal system that pushed in Tuesday and overnight bringing more rain. Now we are in back of the frontal system staying wet.  Yet another frontal system approaches the coast Saturday.

The jet stream is sending us moisture from Hawaii, known as the Pineapple Express, which gives us the potential of very heavy rainfall amounts in the Valley and rising snow levels due to rain in the mountains. This could melt what little snow cover is currently in the mountains which would be a blow to the anticipated ski season, but snow levels will drop back down and more snow will fall. It looks like a parade of storms. Here is a  frontal system that pushed in today bringing more rain. Here is the continuing parade with another frontal system moving in Thursday and yet another frontal system approaches the coast Saturday.

The jet stream is sending us moisture from Hawaii, known as the Pineapple Express, which gives us the potential of very heavy rainfall amounts in the Valley and rising snow levels due to rain in the mountains. This could melt what little snow cover is currently in the mountains which would be a blow to the anticipated ski season. It looks like a parade of storms. Here is a  frontal system following on the heels of the last one bringing more rain. Here is the continuing parade with another frontal system moving in Thursday and yet another frontal system approaches the coast Saturday.
