An upper level low pressure trough has moved down from Canada to returning the chance of rain. It looks like we won’t see another frontal system until next Wednesday. In the meantime that pesky low pressure trough will dominate our weather pattern.

So far, Sunday looks dry. Low pressure cuts the sunshine short next week. By next Friday a frontal system will be pushing toward the Pacific Northwest.

An upper level trough of low pressure (Shaded “U” shape with blue arrows) that is offshore has brought cooler moist air inland from the coast cooling us down from record highs to below average temperatures. Upper air high pressure (Shaded “Arch” shape with blue arrows) starts clearing us up and drying us out.  A frontal system finally moved through to bring the change. So far, Sunday looks dry. Low pressure cuts the sunshine short next week. By next Friday a frontal system will be pushing toward the Pacific Northwest.
