Upper Level High Pressure (Shaded “Arch” shape with blue arrows) is still in control producing sinking air the result of which is late night and early AM fog with freezing fog in many locations. The graphics for days 3-7 show that high pressure will extend right down to the surface keeping us out dry through Thursday, then frontal systems start moving in as high pressure relinquishes its hold on us.
Note: The overnight air quality in Eugene/Springfield and Oakridge has become bad enough for a Red Home Wood Heating Advisory to be issued and continued for another day.

- A Permanent Health Advisory remains in effect for the South Umpqua River and Lawson Bar. Pools in the bedrock along the rivers edge are known to develop Blue-green Algae (cyanobacterial) blooms that can be harmful to pets and people if accidental ingestion occurs. Signs have been posted along several access areas along the river.
