Here is my weekly weather quiz question for the last time. What is an “Evaporimeter?” Here is the correct answer. An Evaporimeter: In hydrologic terms, an instrument which measures the evaporation rate of water into the atmosphere.  I’ll have a new weekly weather quiz question for you starting Monday. The first person to post the correct answer as a comment on this page will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. Good luck.

An Upper Level High Pressure Ridge (Shaded “Arch” shape with arrows) is going to keep us in sunshine for a little while yet. The graphics for days 1-3 show the weak frontal system that fell apart today as it passed through Oregon and the next frontal system that moves through Friday. The graphics for days 3-7 show the some week surface disturbances (dashed lines) as the slide eastward and a frontal system that approaches and then moves through between Tuesday night and next Wednesday.
