Here is my weekly weather quiz question for the last time. What is “Longitude? ” Here is the correct answer.  Longitude is the location east or west in reference to the Prime Meridian, which is designated as zero (0) degrees longitude. The distance between lines of longitude are greater at the equator and smaller at the higher latitudes, intersecting at the earth’s North and South Poles. Time zones are correlated to longitude.

An Upper Level High Pressure Ridge (“Arch” shape)  will keep temperatures near or a bit above normal. The graphics for days 1-3  show no frontal systems approaching the Pacific Northwest. The graphics for days 3-7   Tuesday through Saturday show a frontal system just to our northwest Tuesday then moving through the Pacific Northwest Wednesday and Wednesday night. Then a cold front will be way off to the northwest next Friday, then moving through Oregon next Saturday .
