An Upper Level Low Pressure Trough (“U” shape) has moved up to the Pacific Coast. The graphics for days 1-3 show a  surface low and its associated cold front moving into California then pushing eastward. It will bring  some showers to the South Willamette Valley, but the bulk of the rainfall will be to our south. The graphics for days 3-7    Tuesday through Saturday show a complex frontal system sliding in Wednesday, then a cold front will be moving through the Pacific Northwest next Friday and Saturday.

An Upper Level High Pressure Ridge (“Arch” shape) will be replacing a short-lived Upper Level Low Pressure Trough (“U shape”) that  helped cool our temperatures. Now we start to warm up a bit. The graphics for days 1-3 show no fronts pushing into the Pacific Northwest. The graphics for days 3-7    Friday through Tuesday show a complex frontal system sliding through next Tuesday.
