An upper level trough of Low Pressure will keep sending storms in waves at the Pacific Northwest. That means a more wet weather  ahead.  Weak high pressure (the arch formed over us in yellow) may just hold of the rain until this afternoon, if we are lucky. By late today a new storm system will be moving through Oregon. Up and down snow levels will keep new snow falling in the mountains which will increase the snow depth so there will be more water available as spring runoff to raise the levels of the reservoirs.  Still another storm system will move toward the Oregon coast on Tuesday followed closely by another one.

An upper level trough of Low Pressure is sending storms in waves at the Pacific Northwest. That means a more wet weather  ahead.  Another  storm system is marching through getting us even wetter and this one has some serious winter weather attached to it for the mountains. Low snow levels will keep new snow falling in the mountains which will increase the snow depth so there will be more water available as spring runoff to raise the levels of the reservoirs. Sorry no winner for my Weekly Weather Quiz Question for this week. What is the “name” (acronym)  used to remember the order of the colors in a rainbow?  The acronym that helps you remember the order of the colors on a rainbow is the name “Roy G. Biv” it stands for red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. That lists the colors of the primary rainbow from the outside to the inside of the rainbow. I’ll have another weekly weather quiz question starting on Monday. Remember the first person to post the correct answer will win one week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs.

_______________

An upper level trough of Low Pressure is sending storms in waves at the Pacific Northwest. That means a more wet weather  ahead.  Another disturbanceis marching through getting us even wetter and this one has some serious winter weather attached to it for the mountains. Low snow levels will keep new snow falling in the mountains which will increase the snow depth so there will be more water available as spring runoff to raise the levels of the reservoirs. By late Sunday a new frontal system will be moving in.
