Advisories: A HIGH WIND WATCH IS IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH MONDAY MORNING FOR THE SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTH OREGON COAST, AND THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON FOR NORTHERN AND EASTERN KLAMATH COUNTY, AND WESTERN, CENTRAL, AND EASTERN LAKE COUNTY.

The jet stream has positioned itself to send a strong fetch of moisture to the Pacific Northwest. Weak high pressure (“Arch” shape on the yellow line) in the upper atmosphere will hold off the next surface system until very late tonight or Monday AM, if we are lucky. A frontal system will move into Oregon between late tonight and early Monday AM bringing more wet weather with it. Another frontal system will push in Tuesday so the first week of the New Year with see even more rain. Mt. Ashland was open Saturday and plans to be open today.
