high pressure ridge (“Arch” shape on orange line) is moving our way. That would make you think just plenty of sunshine, but a weak frontal system (shown off shore) will slide under the ridge bringing more clouds and just the slightest chance of showers Saturday night and Sunday from the warm front followed by the cold front and into Monday night as an upper level low moves in behind the high pressure ridge. Summer is almost here! It officially begins with the Summer Solstice at 4:09 PM PDT next Wednesday June 20th.

An upper level low pressure trough over the Gulf of Alaska will rotate weak disturbances, west to east following the Zonal flow in the jet stream, like the frontal system moving our way today returning the slight chance of showers through Wednesday night. Here’s a frontal system sliding past us Thursday. Another frontal system will approach the Oregon coast Saturday for more clouds and maybe another slight chance of showers.
