The jet stream shows a high pressure ridge (“arch” shape) moving away from us as a low pressure trough (“U” shape) dropping in behind it. A cold front pushed through the Pacific Northwest returning the chances for rain and seriously dropping the temperatures. There was a short break today, but the valley rain and mountain snow will return for next week as a frontal system hits us Monday.
