A weak Upper Level Low Pressure Trough (“U” shape) brought onshore airflow and clouds for much cooler high temperatures than predicted.  The graphics for days 1-3 show a the weak frontal system that slid through the Pacific Northwest, but brought lots of clouds hiding the sun. The graphics for days 3-7   Tuesday through Saturday show a frontal system pushing into the Pacific Northwest between Tuesday and Wednesday.

Note: My apologies for missing the prediction for your Friday by a lot. We were expecting sunshine and temperatures near 72. Instead we had overcast skies and high temperatures near 60 degrees. I missed it by 11 degrees. A rather rare event for me, but Mother Nature changed her mind.
