An Upper Level Low Pressure Trough (“U” shape) will continue the onshore airflow keeping us cool through the Pacific Northwest. The graphics for days 1-3 show the frontal system that moved through the Pacific Northwest today and the one that’s following behind it. The graphics for days 3-7 Sunday through Thursday show a frontal system pushing into the Pacific Northwest Monday and Tuesday.

- A RECREATION HEALTH ADVISORY HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR LAKE BILLY CHINOOK, PEOPLE SHOULD AVOID SWIMMING AND HIGH SPEED WATER ACTIVITIES SUCH AS WATER SKIING OR POWER BOATING IN AREAS WHERE BLOOMS ARE PRESENT AS THE MAJOR ROUTE OF EXPOSURE IS INGESTION OF WATER, OREGON HEALTH OFFICIALS SAID. - A PERMANENT HEALTH ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE SOUTH UMPQUA RIVER BAR. POOLS IN THE BEDROCK ALONG THE RIVERS EDGE ARE KNOWN TO DEVELOP BLUE-GREEN ALGAE (CYANOBACTERIAL) BLOOMS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL TO PETS AND PEOPLE IF ACCIDENTAL INGESTION OCCURS. SIGNS HAVE BEEN POSTED ALONG SEVERAL ACCESS AREAS ALONG THE RIVER.
