Here is my weather quiz question for this week. In the Willamette Valley what does it mean when you see large numbers of sea gulls gathering at school and supermarket parking lots? Please post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized  weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

_______________

High pressure is moving away from us as an upper air trough of low pressure (“U” shape) moves toward Oregon. Surface high pressure (Blue “H”) gave us sunshine Tuesday, but a cold front will push its way through the Pacific Northwest producing showers, possible thunderstorms, and some sleet and small hail today. Another frontal system will follow Thursday.

Advisories:  A FROST ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT THROUGH 9 AM THURSDAY FOR THE EASTERN DOUGLAS COUNTY FOOTHILLS AND JACKSON COUNTY.
