The upper airflow (look at the little arrows along the coast) is curving from the southwest bringing warmer more moist air into Oregon. It’s called the “Pineapple Express” because the airflow is actually coming from Hawaii. One frontal system will push into our area (see last frame of animation) followed by others.

For the Willamette Valley: Mostly cloudy with rain today high warming to the low 50s. There will be rain in the evening then showers will be likely (60%) late night low 39-42. Wednesday will see showers high near 50 again with rain likely (60%) at night low 42. There will be a (50%) chance of rain Thursday high near 50. Thursday night through Monday there will be a (40-50%) chance of rain lows mid to upper 30s  highs mid to upper 40s.
