An upper air trough of low pressure (“U” shape) moved across Oregon. A cold front moved through the Pacific Northwest Saturday giving us more rain than expected. The airflow will straighten out quite a bit and that will decrease the flow of colder air that has been coming out of the Gulf of Alaska. Low pressure is rolling up the cold front that pushed through Saturday keeping the chance of showers around. The result will be slowly warming temperatures, but it will still be a bit wet. So far a big break from the rain is expected for your Tuesday (where have we heard that before) with slight chances of getting wet the rest of the week. The next serious frontal system should be here by next Saturday.
