Here is my new weekly weather quiz question for this week. Give it a try. Here is the question. Who created the “F” scale to determine the strength of tornadoes? Please post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments/comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized  weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.
_______________
An upper air trough of low pressure (“U” shape) moved across Oregon. A cold front moved through the Pacific Northwest Saturday giving us more rain than expected. The airflow will straighten out quite a bit and that will decrease the flow of colder air that has been coming out of the Gulf of Alaska. Low pressure rolled up the cold front that pushed through Saturday keeping the chance of showers around. The result will be slowly warming temperatures and more sunshine. So far I expect big break from the rain for your Monday and Tuesday (where have we heard that before) with slight chances of getting wet Wednesday and Thursday, dry Friday, then back to wet next weekend. The next serious frontal system should be here by next weekend.
