The upper airflow (look at the little arrows along the coast) is curving from the southwest bringing warmer more moist air into Oregon. It’s called the “Pineapple Express” because the airflow is actually coming from Hawaii.

Mostly cloudy patchy fog and a (30%) chance rain Thursday and rain likely (60%) at night high in the low 50s low 43. Friday through Sunday a good (50%) chance of rain highs in the low to  mid 40s to near 50 lows low to mid 40s. Chance of showers  Friday and Friday night snow level rising from 7,000′ to 8,000′.  Rain likely Saturday through Monday still well above the passes. .
