The National Weather Service has designated this week as “Severe Weather Awareness Week” and has instructions to tell you what to do during various types of severe weather. Just follow this link for the whole week of information. Severe Weather Awareness Week.
_______________
An upper air trough of low pressure (“U” shape offshore) will take over from the high pressure ridge (“arch” shape moving away from us. A frontal system (still offshore) will be moving in behind the surface high pressure (blue “H” now over Nevada) bringing back the cooler temperatures and the chance for rain. High pressure rebuilds during the week so temperatures will rebound and we’ll be back to sunshine, until next weekend it seems.
