_______________
An upper air trough of low pressure (“U” shape offshore) will take over from the high pressure ridge (“arch” shape moving away from us. A frontal system is moving in behind the surface high pressure (blue “H” now over Nevada/Utah border) bringing back the cooler temperatures and the chance for rain. High pressure rebuilds during the week so temperatures will rebound and we’ll be back to sunshine, until next weekend it seems.
