The Jet Stream Airflow  is pushing the bulk of the moisture well to our north. The graphics for days 1-3 show a cold front offshore ready to move into the Pacific Northwest Tuesday night and early today. The graphics for days 3-7  Friday through Tuesday show that a front pushes through Oregon next Sunday.

  • A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM UNTIL 10 PM TODAY ABOVE 4,500 FT. FOR THE EAST SLOPES OF THE OREGON CASCADES.
  • A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM UNTIL 10 PM TODAY ABOVE 5,000 FT. FOR THE SOUTH CENTRAL OREGON CASCADES.

HEALTH ADVISORIES:

  • A PERMANENT HEALTH ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE SOUTH UMPQUA RIVER BAR. POOLS IN THE BEDROCK ALONG THE RIVERS EDGE ARE KNOWN TO DEVELOP BLUE-GREEN ALGAE (CYANOBACTERIAL) BLOOMS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL TO PETS AND PEOPLE IF ACCIDENTAL INGESTION OCCURS. SIGNS HAVE BEEN POSTED ALONG SEVERAL ACCESS AREAS ALONG THE  RIVER.

Hoodoo Ski: Is open Thursday through Sunday.

Mt. Ashland Ski: All operations paused due to poor mountain conditions.
