The National Weather Service has designated this week as “Severe Weather Awareness Week” and has instructions to tell you what to do during various types of severe weather. Just follow this link for the whole week of information. Severe Weather Awareness Week.

_______________

An upper air trough of low pressure (“U” shape) is moving away and a high pressure ridge (“arch” shape) has cleared us out again. A surface thermal though of low pressure (dashed line that moved over the Pacific Northwest), caused by the daytime heating, brought us some clouds and just a few sprinkles. The temperatures will slowly fall, but we’ll still have sunshine, until late in the week into next weekend when a new cold front moves in (position shown is Sunday).
