Here is my weekly weather quiz question for the last time. Where is the most common birthplace for a violent (F4 or greater) tornado? Here is the answer. According to research done by Dr. Harold Brooks at NSSL, the National Severe Storms Laboratory in Norman, Oklahoma, the most common birthplace for a violent tornado (F4 or greater) is in south-central Oklahoma. I’ll have another weekly weather quiz question starting next Monday. Please post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments/comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

An upper air trough of low pressure (“U” shape) is moving toward the Pacific Northwest and is changing our weather back to wet and cooler. A weak cold front has brought back some sprinkles and a new frontal system is pushing through for the weekend adding more precipitation to the mix. Another frontal system will be upon us late next week.
