An Upper Level High Pressure Ridge (“Arch” shape) continues to bring plenty of sunshine into the beginning of the week. The graphics for days 1-3 show a cold frontal system to our northwest Tuesday aimed toward the Pacific Northwest.  The graphics for days 3-7  Wednesday through Sunday show a couple frontal systems pushing into the Pacific Northwest through the period.

  • A RED FLAG WARNING IS IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM UNTIL 9 PM TODAY FOR ABUNDANT LIGHTNING ON DRY FUELS FOR THE SOUTH CENTRAL OREGON DESERT INCLUDING THE BLM LAND IN EASTERN IN EASTERN LAKE AND WESTERN HARNEY COUNTY.
  • A RED FLAG WARNING IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM THIS EVENING  FOR ABUNDANT LIGHTNING ON DRY FUELS FOR THE KLAMATH BASIN AND THE FREMONT-WINEMA NATIONAL FOREST, THE SOUTH CENTRAL OREGON DESERT INCLUDING THE BLM LAND IN EASTERN LAKE AND WESTERN HARNEY COUNTIES.
  • A RED FLAG WARNING IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM TONIGHT FOR BURNS BLM AND STEENS MOUNTAIN.
  • A FIRE WEATHER WATCH IS IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY MORNING THROUGH TUESDAY EVENING FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR THE LOWER COLUMBIA BASIN OF OREGON.
