We have a winner! Friday the 13h was lucky for at least one person.

_______________

Congratulations to Richard Smith for being the first person to post the correct answer to this week’s weather quiz question. Here’s the question again. What is a micropluviometer? Her is Richard’s answer. “A rain gauge capable of measuring very small amounts of precipitation, amounts that are less than could be measured by an ordinary rain gauge.” One other person had the correct answer (JYHASH), but Richard posted his first. Please post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments/comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized  weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count.

_______________

A strong upper level area of  low pressure (oval shape offshore) is sending moisture to the Pacific Northwest by. It will be moving South spreading moisture over us for the rest of the weekend, then a series of frontal systems (positions shown for Tuesday) march through. Another storm system will be upon us by Friday. All of that means the wet weather will continue.
