An Upper Level Low Pressure Trough (“U” shape) over the Washington-Oregon coastline is cooling us off by sending cold fronts our way. The graphics for days 1-3 show the major cold front that returned rain chances moving out of the Pacific Northwest. The graphics for days 3-7  Sunday through Thursday show no frontal systems pushing into Pacific Northwest, but a cold front poised to our northwest.

ADVISORIES:

  • A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING FOR HARNEY COUNTY AND MALHEUR COUNTY.
  • A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT THROUGH FRIDAY AFTERNOON FOR BAKER COUNTY.

HEALTH ADVISORIES:

  • A PERMANENT HEALTH ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE SOUTH UMPQUA RIVER BAR. POOLS IN THE BEDROCK ALONG THE RIVERS EDGE ARE KNOWN TO DEVELOP BLUE-GREEN ALGAE (CYANOBACTERIAL) BLOOMS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL TO PETS AND PEOPLE IF ACCIDENTAL INGESTION OCCURS.
