The National Weather Service has designated next week as “Safe Boating Week.” Take this link to see the seven days of boat safety information that continue through Friday.

_______________

high pressure ridge brought us lots of sunshine and warmer temperatures, but low pressure will slid along the coast from the Gulf of Alaska. A weak frontal system fell apart as it hit the Oregon coast  but succeeded in bringing more clouds and a few showers. A second storm will move through between Sunday and Monday with an increased chance for precipitation. There will be a short break on Tuesday, but it will cloud up agin by Wednesday. Other storms will move in, like this frontal system due in Wednesday, but there still won’t be much rain falling. Looks like a pretty good Sunday for the wrap up of the Rhododendron Festival in Florence and the rest of Western Oregon. If you are like me, you might be looking for a dry 24-hour dry period to lay down the weed-n-feed. It’s tough when there will be at least a slight chance of precipitation just about every day but Tuesday and that doesn’t leave 24 hours of guaranteed dry weather. O well, that’s what happens here in Western Oregon.
