It’s time for a new weekly weather quiz question. Here it is. What was the first recorded European settlement to be destroyed by a hurricane? Hint: a famous explorer founded the town. Please post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments/comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.
_______________
The upper air wind flow will continue to push marine air in from the west as yet another upper level trough follows on the heels of the one that’s leaving. That will keep us in the pattern of clouds, sunshine and just a chance of showers mainly in the mountain and foothills. Another weak frontal system approaches the coast late in the week showing no change in the current weather pattern.
