This is your last chance this week to answer my weekly weather quiz question. Here it is. What was the first recorded European settlement to be destroyed by a hurricane?  Hint: a famous explorer founded the town. Please post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments/comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized  weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

_______________

A high pressure ridge will build offshore as the low pressure trough moves Eastward away from us. That will help clear us out and warm us up early next week so that we can begin Summer Tuesday on a warmer note. So far the computer guidance is indicating dry and warmer, at least normal temperatures, for all of next week.
