The summer Solstice will occur at 10:16 AM Tuesday June 21st. After the clouds and chance of precipitation over the weekend Summer weather will slide in.

________________

A high pressure ridge is building offshore as the low pressure trough moves Eastward away from us. That will help clear us out and warm us up early next week so that we can begin Summer  on a warmer note. The computer guidance is indicating dry and warmer, at least normal temperatures, but not for all of next week. The forecast does not reflect this yet, but a trough of low pressure will move out of the Gulf of Alaska bringing clouds, cooler temperatures and, yes, maybe even the chance of showers by mid to late week.
