The summer began yesterday and what a day! It cooled off today. Summertime warmth didn’t last long, did it? Don’t worry, it will come back, just slowly.

A high pressure ridge (“Arch” shape) is moving over the Pacific Northwest and a trough of low pressure (“U” shape) is moving in behind it. A cold front moved through as it fell apart bringing some clouds, temperatures a bit cooler and, yes, maybe even the slight chance of light rain or drizzle. That trough will keep the clouds an cooler temperatures around for a while. Another cold front moves into the Pacific Northwest early next week.
