Here is my weekly weather quiz question for you. See if you can answer it correctly. This is your last chance for this week. What is the “Pigpen effect?” Please post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments/comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized  weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

_______________

A high pressure ridge (“Arch” shape) has moved away from the Pacific Northwest and a trough of low pressure (“U” shape) has moved in behind it. Just as quickly a high pressure ridge will slide in to brighten the skies and warm the temperatures for the weekend. Another cold front moves into the Pacific Northwest early next week returning the clouds, cooler temperatures, and the chance of precipitation.
