Today’s your last chance to answer my weekly weather quiz question. We all know that polluted air is not good for you. What event occurred in October of 1948 that proved that idea? Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized  weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

_______________

Advisories: NONE AT THIS TIME.

trough of low pressure (“U” shape – black line) is still offshore and a high pressure ridge (“arch” shape) remains over the rockies. The trough will move inland, but we’ll still be influenced by low pressure offshore at least through early next week keeping the onshore airflow over Oregon. That means don’t look for any serous changes in the weather through at least Tuesday.
