Now that we have gotten back to more normal temperatures for this time of the year it is time for another parade of frontal systems to bring the winter rain back. Here’s a look at the next storm system that is approaching the Oregon coast. The upper level airflow has returned from the southwest (The Pineapple Express) so that means potentially quite a bit of rainfall.

A FREEZING RAIN ADVISORY IN IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS EVENING TO 4 AM FRIDAY FOR THE NORTH CASCADES (INCLUDES GOVERNMENT CAMP AND SANTIAM PASS).

Forecast for the Southern Willamette Valley:   Mostly cloudy tonight with a good (50%) chance of rain low 37-40. Mostly cloudy with rain likely (60%) Friday through Saturday highs near 50 Friday and 55 Saturday low Friday night in the mid 40s. Partly cloudy with a slight (20%) chance rain Saturday night with fog late low 40. Patchy AM fog then a mix of clouds and sun Sunday high 57. A slight  (20%) chance of rain Sunday night low 39. Mostly cloudy with a (40%) chance of rain Monday high 56, Rain likely (60%) Monday night through Wednesday night lows near 40 highs in the low to mid 50s.
