Here is my weekly weather quiz question. In meteorology what is meant by the term “La Nada?” Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. A trough of low pressure (Shaded “U” shape with blue arrows) is swinging through the Pacific Northwest continuing the clouds and cooler temperatures. A high pressure ridge (Shaded “Arch” shape with blue arrows) will move in behind the trough and warm us up for the holiday weekend. The Beavers will be home against Sacramento State Saturday at 1PM and the weather will be bright, sunny, warm, and dry with the high temperature in the upper 80s. The Ducks will play against LSU in Arlington, Texas with game time at 5 PM and it will be hot with high temperature about 100 degrees. Don’t know if the roof on the stadium there will be open or closed.
