We will be staying under a blocking high pressure ridge (“Arch” shape covering the Pacific Northwest) assuring that we will stay from very warm to hot. On the back side of the ridge the airflow will be from the west bringing more clouds and a frontal system will move in early next week and that should break the back of this heat wave.
