Advisories: NONE AT THIS TIME.

An upper air trough of low pressure (“U” shape over the Pacific Northwest) has ushered in a moist marine airflow pushing many more clouds our way. A frontal system fell apart as it moved into Oregon and produced some light showers or sprinkles, the closest mainly in the South Hills for Eugene, but another one right behind it will spread more precipitation over the Pacific Northwest overnight and for your Sunday. More frontal systems will approach next week giving us the Autumn weather that comes with the season and the Autumnal Equinox which occurs at 2:05 AM PDT Thursday. I don’t know about you, but I have been seeing trees turning colors and losing their leaves for the past month which seems to indicate that Autumn-like cloud cover and low temperatures that we had for the latter part of this Summer triggered an early start to the Fall season for at least some of the trees.
