It’s time for my weekly weather quiz question. What is a “Haboob”? Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

Advisories:   NONE AT THIS TIME.

An upper air trough of low pressure (“U” shape on yellow line)  moved eastward over Oregon.  Now high pressure (“Arch” shape on yellow line) will dry us out for a few days. Then low pressure returns offshore, but one frontal system will slide Southward brushing California and the next one will wait until Friday night to start bringing back the wet weather through the weekend and beyond.
