An upper air trough of low pressure (“U” shape on yellow line)  moved eastward over Oregon.  Now high pressure (“Arch” shape on yellow line) will dry us out for couple of days. Then low pressure returns offshore, but new frontal systems will wait until Friday night to start bringing back the wet weather through the weekend and beyond.
